No.28

No.28 otherwise known as Stanley House and previously the
Wellbeloved Art Gallery

The first part of No.28 was built in 1620 and was one of the first substantial houses to be built on the island. It was extended in 1760 and is a Grade two listed property.
No.28 is constructed of Portland Stone and has stone mullion window frames, lots of beams and character, offering an exceptional environment for a stay
on the island.

No.28 is decorated/furnished to a very high standard and has good quality beds with cotton sheets. The kitchen is fully equipped and the property covers 2,000 sq feet internally over a number of floors. There are four/five bedrooms, a family bathroom and a shower room plus an additional WC.
There are three ground floor reception rooms plus teh kitchen, utility room
and WC.

The house is located opposite a well frequented coffee shop come art gallery which has an exceptional garden at the rear. A short stroll down the road is the Easton Square's small park, a local supermarket for provisions, and a good Chinese restaurant and takeaway.

There are close bus stops for going over the bridge to and from "England", which run every ten minutes. Portland is set in the World Heritage Jurassic Coast region and there are marvellous local and not too far away walks that stand up well with anywhere in the world.
